We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Systems Engineer, who will play a key role in developing advanced RF Systems and technologies for next-generation defence systems, with a world class technical engineering company based in Hertfordshire or Lancashire.

The Systems Design Engineer will join a team critical to the product development process, transforming customer requirements into lower-level system architectures (Physical and Functional) and system requirements. The Systems Engineer will cover the majority of the Systems Engineering V model, negotiating requirements with the customer through to the verification and validation process; where you will gain a detailed understanding of RF design as well as building experience working with capable teams across all development activities.
You will be part of a close-knit, hardworking, and highly motivated team striving to develop one of the world's most advanced RF technologies. You will play a crucial role in this innovative development, witnessing the impact of your dedication and effort as the product is effectively deployed for use by the armed forces.
There will be opportunities for travel both within the UK and internationally to other sites and trial locations.

Skills and qualifications required from the following:
- Experience with deriving and managing requirements,
- Experience with generating Functional and Physical Architecture using SysML, ARCADIA, or a similar MBSE language,
- Experience dissecting and understanding customer requirements and disseminating them down into lower-level subsystem requirements and complex functional architectures,
- Consistent ability to deliver required output within agreed timescales,
- Skill in cultivating strong relationships with colleagues, external departments and customers,
- Experience with Model based Systems Engineering,
- Experience with Systems engineering tools like DOORS / DOORS Next / Rhapsody / Capella desirable,
- Experience with MATLAB and Simulink desirable,
- Knowledge of RF/microwave and electronic systems, radar and control systems, and digital signal processing is desirable,
Due to security requirement classification, this role is open to British Citizens, or dual nationals with British citizenship only. You should be able and willing to gain UK security clearance, potentially to DV level in the future.
