Location:               Bristol or Stevenage

Salary:                   Up to £50,000 P/A + benefits (including Pension, Overtime, Bonus)

Hours:                   37 hours per week

We are looking for Systems Engineer where your primary objective is to support the functional integration of the significantly complex product into a wider System context.

The opportunity:

The System of Systems will join a department that is growing fast in order to support delivery of export contracts and evolution of the product to enhance the capabilities to the customers.  As a System of Systems engineer your primary objective is to support the functional integration of the systems product into a wider System context.

You will have experience in functional design and/or integration to demonstrate your understanding of the challenges of integrating complex systems into a larger / wider system context.  This role will involve working with the end customer to support system requirements and architecture definition whilst working internally within a multidisciplinary team to develop a product that meets this need.

Skills and Qualifications:

Engineers at varying levels with:

  • Experience in developing and integrating complex systems, preferably in the defence industry
  • Strong systems thinking skills with the ability to initiate and drive trade studies
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively convey technical information to a variety of stakeholders
  • Experience developing requirement sets, and an ability to agreeing these collaboratively with different stakeholder groups including System Design Authorities and Government organisations
  • Project engineering knowledge to be able to design and deliver work packages
  • Familiarity with system architecture tools, including DOORS and Rhapsody

You will need to obtain UK Security Clearance for this role. This will require you to either be a UK Citizen or UK Dual Citizen. Some restrictions may apply.
