Software Group Lead

The role offers a competitive salary of circa £80,000, along with a comprehensive benefits package including a Bonus up to 27% of salary, £300p/m car allowance, pension and more.
This role is tailored for a forward-thinking Software Engineering Manager who is passionate about leading dynamic teams working on cutting-edge real-time embedded systems. You will lead and develop a talented team responsible for the specification, design, development, testing, and delivery of real-time embedded software for sophisticated defence systems, while playing a key role in shaping an innovative environment, working alongside multidisciplinary teams to produce software that makes a real-world impact.
We are seeking a confident leader with proven experience in managing multi-disciplinary software teams, ideally within high-technology or defence environments. Your ability to motivate, mentor, and foster growth will be vital, alongside your solid understanding of software development processes, including requirements analysis, design, and testing.
You’ll also benefit from a supportive team atmosphere and excellent site facilities. Security clearance is required, so British citizenship or dual UK nationality is essential.
