Salary:                   Up to £55,000 P/A + benefits (plus Overtime, Flexi and Bonus)

Hours:                   37 hours per week

The Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) team conduct complete test in a synthetic environment, this includes designing complex, real-time simulations that create real world synthetic environment in order to carry out the test.

As a Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the underlying real-time software tools that allow us to run simulations of real hardware as well as control innovative equipment. You will also support the deployment of these tools in designing the simulations and running experiments.

You will be able to adapt to new engineering situations and be comfortable in abstracting detail in order to understand the simulation and the products behaviour

Skills Required:

Broad engineering experience with deeper experience in some of the following skill areas:

  • Software design
  • Software design for real-time applications
  • Familiarity with Linux operating system
  • Familiarity with C/C++
  • Use of microcontrollers (e.g. Raspberry Pi)
  • Interface debugging and system integration
  • Familiarity with Object Orientated approaches would be beneficial

You will need to obtain UK Security Clearance for this role. This will require you to be either a full UK Citizen or dual national with British Citizenship. Some restrictions may apply.
