The Project Engineer will be responsible for delivery of a rack mounted Command and Control Processing Unit, including the rack infrastructure the processing unit is installed within. The rack will also house other sub-systems developed within the project that will be required to be integrated with the processing unit. This role is also responsible for the definition of the cabling solution between the equipment within the racks and external interfaces.
Reporting to a Head of Equipment as part of a wider Chief Design Engineer’s organisation; this role will be focused on the hardware delivery and physical certification aspects of these systems. An understanding of how these sub-systems work will also be required to support product delivery, which includes the software product.
As a Project Engineer, you will be the technical interface between the project organisation and the equipment Design Authority (internal or external). The Project Engineer provides the leadership that ensures system equipment is designed, accepted, and delivered to meet system performance and project commitments

Skills Required:
Project Engineers balance the client facing representation with a technical focus lead, subject to the degree of delivery responsibility vested in the supplier or Design Authority. The Project Engineer will be responsible for:
- Delivering the processing unit, rack and infrastructure, and integrated sub systems;
- Acceptance of the physical definition of the hardware;
- Delivering the technical and certification documentation;
- Supporting the functional integration of the hardware within the wider sub system definition.
You will need to obtain UK Security Clearance for this role. This will require you to be either a full UK Citizen or dual national with British Citizenship. Some restrictions may apply.
