Salary: Up to £57,000 | Hybrid 2 - 3 days onsite | UK Security Clearance Required
Location: Bristol, Stevenage or Bolton
Hours: 37 hours per week
This isn’t a tick-box compliance role.
This is about owning the physical integrity of one of the UK’s most advanced defence systems.
You’ll lead verification and validation across the physical domain, such as environmental performance, EMC, power, transportability, making sure what’s been designed is actually certifiable, compliant and defensible.
You’ll sit at system level, challenge design, assess change impact, and manage suppliers. You’ll front milestone reviews, and when something doesn’t stack up, you’ll drive it to a resolution.
This is engineering accountability, not paperwork administration.
What you’ll be trusted with:
- Leading physical domain V&V strategy and certification activity
- Managing Design Verification Plans and requirements traceability
- Assessing design changes and technical risk
- Owning supplier technical progress and compliance reviews
- Logging, tracking and driving resolution of defects
- Supporting CE marking and regulatory documentation
- Presenting compliance evidence at system level
What you’ll bring:
- Strong grounding in systems engineering principles
- Experience verifying hardware-based systems
- Understanding of requirements flow-down and traceability
- Knowledge of test procedures and certification evidence gathering
- Confidence presenting technical decisions to stakeholders
- Experience with configuration management tools, such as Teamcenter or Windchill
Benefits include: Hybrid working, strong pension, bonus, paid overtime, flexi leave and enhanced parental benefits included.
You’ll need to be a British citizen (or dual national with British citizenship) eligible for UK security clearance.
