The opportunity – Functional Systems Design Engineer:
Following the successful development of a brand-new defence system concept demonstrator, which achieved significant success recently with several highly publicised trials taking place. The next stage is to continue to develop this system into a world class, deployable product. The company’s ambitious plans involve parallel and interleaved streams of ground-breaking technology, experimentation and rapid system development, providing opportunities across the key weapon system domains of Systems Engineering: requirements, design, performance analysis and certification, which is why there is a need for a Functional Systems Design Engineer.

Duties include but not limited to.
Skills and Qualifications – Functional Systems Design Engineer:
- A Systems Engineer with any of the following skills and experience:
- Ability to analyse requirements and functional interface definitions, to generate detailed functional design documentation to articulate design need
- Conduct system design trade studies and propose design changes with detailed impact assessments
- Liaise with multi-disciplinary design team and external stakeholders to ensure accurate and coherent understanding of the system design
- Understanding of change management processes and point of embodiment management
- Support to development and maintenance of management plans
- Proven ability to develop excellent working relationships with partners and key stakeholders as well as team members and other departments.
- Passion and persistence to get a job done and done well.
