The Opportunity
The Fire Enable System Project Engineer will be responsible for delivery of the Fire Enable System, comprising 3 separate equipment items which together provide high integrity safety control function for the end product. This system will be housed in other subsystems, so understanding of assembly, integration, test, and certification boundaries would be desirable.
Reporting to a Head of Equipment as part of a wider Chief Design Engineer’s organisation; this role will be focused on the hardware delivery and certification aspects of this system, including test equipment and associated technical documentation. An understanding of how safety related requirements are defined, implemented, verified, and certified are highly desirable.
The Fire Enable System Project Engineer will be responsible for:
- Delivering the Fire Enable System in its configurations for inclusion in other systems;
- Acceptance of the physical and functional definition of the hardware;
- Delivering the technical and certification documentation, including safety related certification;
- Supporting the functional integration of the hardware within the wider sub system definition.
Skills Required:
You will have experience in or can demonstrate their ability to:
- Operate in the early lifecycle of a project, to drive technical direction for the equipment under development and clarify stakeholder needs
- Worked with third party suppliers and developed technical statements of work and deliverables
- Develop complex electrical equipment or subsystems and ensure the emergent design is compliant to the project requirements
- Proactively engages stakeholders and builds relationships that will further the project
- Lead technical work packages alongside experienced project managers, to demonstrate progress and balance technical risks.
