Systems Integration Engineer (Digitised Battlespace) - Bristol

Salary:                   Up to £38,000 P/A + benefits (including Pension, Overtime, Bonus)

Hours:                   37 hours per week

We are looking for Systems Integration Engineer working on developing weapon systems concepts to join a world leading innovative business, critical to national security. This could be just what you are looking for?

The System Integration Engineer will Join a Future Battlefield Capability team and work on new weapon system concepts to support the British Army and the European customer base. You will be contributing to new concepts such as Battlefield Effects Management and next generation open fire control systems.

The System Integration Engineer will explore and develop weapon systems concepts and their integration into the battlespace using a systems engineering approach. You will identify technologies for battlefield weapons and conducting systems assessment to determine their feasibility for the proposed future products.

By interfacing with customers directly, you will identify their future capability needs, conduct investigation on potential solutions, and assess their feasibility as future products.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Ideally Degree qualified in a technical discipline such as electronics, physics, Mathematics, or Systems Engineering.
  • Technical/ engineering background (ideally with an understanding of weapon systems, military platforms, and sub-systems)
  • It would be beneficial if you had experience working with the British Army
  • Good communicator across all levels and a strong problem solver
  • Analytical skills with the ability to analyse complex problems within an open problem-space.
  • Ability to think laterally and with initiative to develop new ideas and concepts and identify technology exploitation paths.
  • Ideally some experience in model-based systems engineering and associated tools
