We have an opportunity for a Systems Design Engineer to join a growing team working across the full systems engineering lifecycle, from requirements and architecture through to verification, certification and customer acceptance.
You will work across multiple programmes and variants, coordinating technical stakeholders and contributing to the design and assurance of complex systems.
The role
- Lead Systems Design activities at system level
- Develop and justify system architectures
- Manage requirements, use cases and interfaces
- Develop design assurance and verification strategies
- Support formal certification activities
- Coordinate multiple sub-system stakeholders
- Lead technical trade studies, depending on experience
- Contribute to bid strategies and contract delivery
What are we looking for?
You will bring experience in Systems Engineering, ideally with knowledge of:
- Requirements management and use case analysis
- System architecture and traceability
- Interface definition
- Verification, validation and certification
- Design assurance
- DOORS and formal requirements management
- Technical analysis and engineering documentation
- You will also need strong communication, problem-solving and influencing skills, together with the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams and adapt quickly when priorities change.
