The Software Engineer Team Lead role:
We’re a driven team with a passion for software and its successful deployment in battlespace Command and Control (C2) weapon systems. We work on technology that is at the forefront of European system design, delivering safe, secure, and reliable products to our customers.
 
We are looking for a capable, adaptable and inquisitive software engineering team lead to join a talented and established team to lead development of a Product Line software solution, for the current and next generations of systems.
 
The position will work across multiple applications on both land and maritime projects in the systems software department, this role promotes involvement in many of the most advanced systems in the world, across multiple domains, and provides a great opportunity for someone wanting to be involved in many differing areas of software.
 
 
Software Engineer Team Lead experience required:
  • You will have proven experience leading teams (this role is 5- 10 people) and working with multiple stakeholders to deliver quality software, implementing both agile and waterfall methodologies.
  • Some experience developing with C, C++ or Ada, with a solid background in software engineering including use of scripting languages.
  • A passion for software engineering, with the ability to innovate and think critically to solve complex software problems with a willingness to develop software skillsets either through on the job, or formal training.
  • Comfortable working with a team in a collaborative environment, communicating and contributing to design and implementation decisions, and supporting integration across multiple projects and sites (no travel is required for this role).
  • We are looking for a good communicator, someone willing to present new ideas and be able to influence stakeholders, including Project Leaders and Department Leads.
  • Our products incorporate software, hardware and operating system configuration, including security solutions so you should be comfortable working across all of these areas.
  • Strong technical documentation writing and reviewing skills, as you will be required to produce technical documentation to support our processes.
