We are recruiting Senior Systems Engineers to join our client’s engineering teams in Ampthill, Bedfordshire.
This is an opportunity to work across complex engineering programmes where systems engineering, software integration, modelling, simulation and verification come together.
You will be involved across the systems engineering lifecycle, helping to develop, integrate and verify complex systems and ensuring they perform as intended.
What you will be doing
- Applying systems engineering principles throughout the development lifecycle
- Designing and integrating complex systems with significant software content
- Supporting Verification and Validation activities
- Developing Verification and Acceptance (V&A) statements
- Using MATLAB/Simulink for modelling and simulation
- Assessing and implementing engineering change proposals
- Working with communications and RF network architectures
- Understanding system-level behaviours, limitations and performance
- Applying relevant DEF STAN, MIL-STD and industry best practice
What we are looking for
You will have demonstrable experience in systems engineering and complex system integration, ideally gained within a large-scale engineering development programme.
You should have:
- Strong systems engineering lifecycle experience
- Experience of Verification and Validation
- MATLAB/Simulink modelling and simulation experience
- Experience developing V&A statements
- Knowledge of communications and RF network architectures
- Experience assessing engineering changes
- An understanding of DEF STAN, MIL-STD and industry best practice
- The ability to understand complex system behaviour at system level

Security: Due to the nature of the work, this role is primarily site-based in Ampthill and candidates must be eligible to obtain DV Security Clearance, with SC to start, whilst going through the DV process.
