Salary:                      Up to £60,000 (DOE)

We’re working with an award-winning, engineering organisation, who are looking for a Mission Planning & Control Specialist who will help shape the future of the strategy of the Mission Planning & Control team.
 
The Mission Planning & Control Specialist role
Within the Mission Planning & Control Department, you will tackle a variety of activities from the technical development of MPC products. Working within the Mission Planning Technical Specialist Services area, this role will provide technical expertise to support the delivery of current and future architectures and emerging technologies (including EMS, Mission Control, EW etc.)
 
You will work across MP&C and the broader WSD to develop and deliver best practice within your domain by generating new, cutting-edge knowledge and transferring knowledge and skills to team members (with ongoing support and peer reviews etc.). You may also be seconded into specific projects as a technical lead for technology developments or research programmes. The role will vary over time, and according to the state of projects. 
 
Mission Planning & Control Specialist experience required
  • Highly motivated and pro-active individual, capable of working on their own initiative with minimum of supervision, as well as within a larger team or stakeholder group
  • Able to work simultaneously with and influence multiple stakeholder groups, both from within the business, the MOD and the external stakeholder community
  • The ability to communicate and work effectively in a collaborative environment spanning a number of teams and locations is essential.
  • Experience of problem-solving and a strong ability to think analytically.
  • Experienced practitioner within their Technical Domain.
  • High level of expertise and in-depth technical knowledge of key specialist technologies and exploitation paths.
  • Proven ability to provide technical support on complex issues.
