This is an opportunity for a Systems Engineer, Design Engineer or Technical Lead to step into a role combining engineering, technical project management, requirements, verification and certification.

You will work across complex, high-integrity engineering programmes, collaborating with internal teams, design authorities and external suppliers to make sure equipment is designed, delivered, verified and ready for service.

What you will be doing:

  • Managing the technical status and progression of assigned work packages
  • Defining clear, accurate engineering requirements
  • Working with internal and external Design Authorities to develop solutions and manage technical trades
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant engineering, military, commercial and safety standards
  • Developing verification and validation strategies across electrical, mechanical, software and system-level requirements
  • Preparing equipment and subsystem certification for trials and delivery
  • Managing the flow of technical information between suppliers, engineering and procurement teams

What you will bring:

  • Experience within an engineering design or systems engineering environment
  • Knowledge of high-integrity hardware, networking, electronics, complex mechanical systems or similar
  • Experience of requirements, verification, validation or certification
  • Experience leading a small team or acting as a technical/team leader
  • The ability to manage technical delivery while working with multiple stakeholders
