The Embedded Software Engineer role:
As the Embedded Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing embedded, real-time software for computers on current systems and future evolutions. Using the Ada language, you will be responsible for the full software lifecycle, from requirements definition and analysis to software release.
 
You will have the opportunity to work with advanced technologies, including Simulink algorithms, a real-time operating system (RTOS), and firmware. You will also gain exposure to real-time Operating Systems and ARM-based processing platforms.

Embedded Software Engineer experience required:
  • Significant experience in the development of embedded software with Ada or C, C++.
  • Experience in model-based development - either using UML tools such as IBM’s Rhapsody or Matlab/Simulink.
  • An awareness of deploying software on real-time Operating Systems and ARM-based processing platforms.
  • Knowledge of standards such as DefStan 00-55 & DO178B and restricted coding standards such as MISRA / SPARK would be advantageous.
