Bristol | £60,000 – £72,500 | Plus excellent benefits | DO-254 Airborne Electronic Hardware
Let’s be clear, this is not just another engineering role.
This is your chance to step into a position where you don’t just contribute, you lead, influence, and shape high value aerospace electronics programmes from concept through to certification.
You will take ownership of critical electronic development work packages, guide teams, and drive delivery on projects that actually matter.
If you’ve been waiting for a role where your experience is trusted, your voice is heard, and your impact is visible, this is it.
What you’ll be doing
- You will lead electronic development activities across complex aerospace programmes, taking ideas from architecture through design, verification, and certification.
- You will plan, allocate, and oversee technical work, ensuring delivery against demanding schedules.
- You will work closely with systems, safety, mechanical, and simulation teams, bringing clarity, structure, and technical leadership.
- You will play a key role in DO254 programmes, navigating the process, guiding teams, and ensuring successful certification outcomes.
- You will design and develop electronic controllers for advanced electromechanical systems used in aerospace and simulation environments.
What you bring
- You are already operating at Senior or Principal level, and you know your craft.
- You understand DO254, not just in theory, but in practice, including planning, development phases, and audits.
- You have experience in electronic system architecture, from simple designs to complex, safety critical systems.
- You bring knowledge in areas like power electronics, motor drives, communications interfaces, and FPGA based systems.
- You are comfortable working with standards such as DO160 and understand the realities of aerospace development.
- You are a strong communicator, pragmatic, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities without losing focus.
- You enjoy working with others, but you are equally comfortable taking ownership and driving outcomes.
Why this role
- Because you will be trusted.
- Because you will lead.
- Because you will work on programmes that push your capability and build your reputation.
- Because opportunities like this, where technical depth meets real leadership, do not come along often.
You will need to be a British citizen, and eligible for UK security clearance.
