Electronics Design Engineer
Location: Bolton
Salary: Up to £55,000 + Bonus, Overtime, Pension & options for flexible working
Working within a world leading, technical engineering organisation, we currently have an exciting opportunity for an Electronics Design Engineer where you will play a leading role in the support of production activities at our state of the art manufacturing facility and act as an interface between the design teams and manufacturing.
This role provides a unique opportunity to contribute to the transition of designs into production and to be part of a team that is the first port of call when problems occur. The scope to learn and enhance your capabilities and understanding of both environments is a rare opportunity.
As the Electronics Design Engineer, you will have plenty of opportunity to interface and influence at all levels of the organisation and to enhance the relationship between design and manufacturing especially in ensuring that our designs are robust and contain the features necessary to improve manufacturability and testability.
Electronics Design Engineer skills and qualifications required:

Significant proven experience in the design of Digital and Analogue electronics, preferably in the defence industry, (but not essential). Experience of switch mode power supplies would also be an advantage, (but not essential).

Excellent verbal communication, negotiation and influencing skills with the capability to write clear and concise engineering documentation.

Work well in a multifunctional and multi-skilled team environment, supporting knowledge transfer to/from colleagues

You’ll be prepared to work autonomously if needed, lead the delivery of your work assignments, and actively engage with stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of your outputs.

Experience in supporting manufacturing and resolving manufacturing issues is an advantage, but not essential.

A record of accomplishment of on-time delivery along with good verbal and written communication skills.
