Salary:                  Up to £55,000 P/A + benefits (plus Overtime, Flexi and Bonus)

Hours:                  37 hours per week

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Electro Optical Systems Engineer to join an ambitious, highly regarded, scientific engineering / manufacturing business that are in a position of sustained growth.

As an Electro Optical Systems Engineer, the nature of your work will be broad, varied and dynamically changing. You will work within a highly skilled and expert team that will support you in delivering our commitments.

The successful applicant will join one of our project teams developing ground-breaking complex systems. You will be responsible for driving the technical direction of our products to meet challenging customer requirements by engaging and coordinating with wider specialist design teams and external entities to ensure we successfully deliver on our commitments.

Depending on the programme this will vary from specification and assessment through to delivery and support. We also lead and conduct industry-leading innovative R&D activities to support future emerging programmes.

Skills Required: 

  • A well-rounded Systems Engineer with experience across the full lifecycle
  • Requirements analysis, specifications, and justification
  • System architecture design and modelling
  • System trade studies to inform design decisions
  • Technology maturation assessments and FMEA
  • Development of interface definitions
  • Systems proving, design assurance and certification
  • Development of interface definitions

You will need to obtain UK Security Clearance for this role.  This will require you to either be a UK Citizen or a UK Dual Citizen.  Some restrictions may apply.
