We’re working with an award-winning, engineering organisation, who are looking for a Component Engineer where you will play a crucial role, not just within the group but the wider business too, as people will seek your technical advice to ensure we deliver a comprehensive component service.
 
The Component Engineer role
Due to the growing workload, an exciting opportunity within the Component Engineering team for a committed and professional individual to train and develop into a highly skilled Component Engineer. You’ll learn to select, vet and catalogue mechanical, electronic, electrical and electromechanical components used in all of our products.
 
You’ll get to know in detail the latest products, technologies available in order to support the advice given our customers. To keep your knowledge up to date, there will be regular visits to relevant stakeholders and suppliers.
 
There is also the opportunity to support local and international continuous improvement initiatives to help define best practice and manage the adoption and adherence of agreed methodologies across the teams on an international scale.
 
Component Engineer experience required
  • Demonstrable knowledge or experience in electrical, electro-mechanical products or electronic components.
  • Appreciation of REACH and RoHS regulations.
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Pro-activeness and self-motivation to improve self, improve process, and get the job done.
