Thermal Design Engineer
Salary: £28,000 - £35,000
We are currently working with a company who specialise in the heat exchanger industry, as they look to recruit a Thermal Design Engineer into their Sales Team. They are looking for a dynamic individual, with a can-do attitude, that has either started to specialise in the field of heat transfer or is looking to make this field their forte. The role will be customer facing requiring a professional, friendly personality.
Thermal Design Engineer Responsibilities:
  • Working with and visiting clients to determine the best solution for their specific needs.
  • Performing process design calculations using software such as HTRI / Aspentech EDR etc.
  • Preliminary mechanical calculations and costing.
  • Technical and commercial bid compilation.
  • Contract negotiations.
  • Coordinate project requirements with other disciplines and clients.
  • Building relationships with clients.
What you will bring:
Experience and Qualifications:
  • BEng or MEng in Chemical (or Mechanical) Engineering.
  • Previous experience in a similar role
Special Job Requirements:
  • Familiar with Shell and Tube heat exchangers and Air-Cooled heat exchangers.
  • Knowledge of physical property models and fluid flow.
