Hours:                  37 hours per week

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Geometric Variation Analyst to join an ambitious, highly regarded, scientific engineering / manufacturing business that are in a position of sustained growth.

Your role as a Geometric Variation Analyst will involve planning, leading and control tolerance analysis activities across the Mechanical Engineering Function working on next generation technologies with other skilled engineers.

Skills Required:

  • Ideally HND/HNC/Degree qualified with significant experience in 3D tolerance analysis and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Significant experience in functional tolerance analysis and Design for Assembly tolerancing, with the ability to operate across the Mechanical Engineering function to support and train colleagues, develop processes and guide departmental tool choices and strategy
  • In depth knowledge of detail mechanical design, complex mechanical systems and definition required for manufacture and assembly
  • Highly motivated self-starter with a passion for the subject, with proven track record in presenting, delivering training and providing specialist technical support to a large team
  • Significant knowledge of applicable standards & processes, including BS8888
  • Familiarity with 3D model-based tolerance analysis software such as CETOL 6σ would be an advantage

You will need to obtain UK Security Clearance for this role. This will require you to either be a UK Citizen or a UK Dual Citizen. Some restrictions may apply.
