Location:               Stevenage or Bristol

Salary:                   Up to £48,000 p/a + benefits (overtime, bonus, Pension & more)

Hours:                   37 hours per week         

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Systems Requirements Engineer to join a world class technical engineering company based in Stevenage or Bristol. This role will be critical to developing capabilities to help protect national interests and global security. This could be just what you are looking for?

We are looking for system engineers who are trained and/or experienced in model-based requirements, preferably with experience in applying the System Modelling Language (SysML) to broad system requirements and architectures (or are willing to learn!).

The Systems Requirements Engineer will work closely with cutting edge, never-done-before technology, where we encourage innovation with every step. You will work on a broadly scoped programme, with opportunities to engage regularly with several technical experts for a broad range of technologies. The team are a closely-knit, motivated team with a friendly vibe and flexible working arrangement (mixture of home and on-site working). There will also be an opportunity to grow the role into a wider set of responsibilities if interested?

Typical activities include:

  • Taking ownership of system requirement and design traceability
  • Identifying/Executing studies to further inform future technical designs
  • Deriving new requirements at system to component level for design maturity
  • The technologies being developed are a world-first and will dictate the capability of next-generation systems. The team is highly motivated to succeed and ultimately spark additional programmes, either continuing research in advancing the Technology Readiness Level of the technology or providing technology injection into new and/or in-service products.

Skills and qualifications required from the following:

  • Ideally degree qualified in a technical engineering discipline such as Electronics, Systems Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Software or Aerospace Engineering
  • Requirements Engineers with experience in MBSE techniques
  • RF sensor / Radar knowledge would be highly beneficial
  • Some understanding/experience with EO/IR sensors beneficial but not essential
  • Use of architecture/requirements tools such as Rhapsody/DOORS (or similar)
  • Experience in system integration and proving beneficial but not essential

You should be able and willing to gain (UK Eyes only) security clearance, potentially to DV level in the future.
