Salary:                Up to £48,000 + bonus, overtime, flexible working options & good pension
 
Working with a world leading engineering organisation, we have a fantastic opportunity for a Systems MBSE Architect to be part of an exciting, ambitious research programme at the core of seeker technology within the defence industry. We're looking for system engineers who are trained and/or experienced Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE) practitioners, preferably with experience in applying System Modelling Language (SysML) to broad system requirements and architectures.

Systems MBSE Architect responsibilities include:
  • Assessing the feasibility of missile seeker system concepts via complex architectural design
  • Taking ownership of system requirement and design traceability
  • Identifying/executing studies to further inform future missile sensor designs
  • The technologies being developed are world-firsts and will dictate the capability of next-generation missile systems. The team is highly motivated to succeed and ultimately spark additional programmes, either continuing research in advancing the Technology Readiness Level of the technology or providing technology injection into new and/or in-service products.
 
Systems MBSE Architect experience required
  • System engineers with experience of complex design
  • MBSE practitioners with experience in SysML application
  • RF sensor / Radar knowledge would be highly beneficial
  • Some understanding/experience with EO sensors beneficial but not essential
  • Use of architecture/requirements software such as IBM Rhapsody/DOORS (or similar)
