Software Specialist

Salary: Up to £65,000

As the Software Specialist, you will work within the UK Test Equipment (TE) team in collaboration with the French Centre of Excellence team (CofEx). Your key responsibilities will include:

Performing an overarching role that supports and assists Software project work with the resolution of complex and challenging issues.

Working with a wide range of teams and stakeholders to support the technical delivery/integration of test software and hardware capability for products from early concept to production.

Supporting all aspects of software project development and maintenance lifecycles, ensuring challenging departmental, and customer requirements and deadlines are met.

Challenging and implementing real change when opportunities arise in the way the software is developed both within test software and the wider software community

Working in an office/lab environment engaging with software, test equipment and project components/systems.

Software Specialist experience required

Previous wide software engineering experience in the support and/or development of test solutions for Development and Manufacturing Purposes

Proven and in-depth prior software development experience (C, C++, Ada)

Proven track record of solving complex software and hardware integration-related problems.

Prior experience in Change, Configuration and release management practices.

Practical hands-on experience in software installations, measurement equipment, software drivers etc.

A strong understanding of what is required to create high-quality software and the ability to support quality practices
