Software Project Leader
Location: Stevenage
Salary: Up to £70,000 – Dependent on experience

The Software Project Leader Role
The Real Time Software team is tasked with supplying software into advanced equipment, often developing on state-of-the-art processing platforms.
Interacting with a wider engineering team (including Systems, Hardware and Firmware Teams), this role presents the opportunity to deliver complex software solutions, as part of a deliverable product, deployed into programmes. In a collaborative and close-knit culture, we support each other to search for better!
Software Project Leader experience required:
A leader in software (experienced or aspiring) focussed on team leadership and delivering software:

Proven ability to technical manage a team of software developers

Project management skills to ensure good planning, delivery and cost control of software

A proven record of managing a software budget and have the confidence to control change to the requirements and costs, against an agreed estimate/budget

A good understanding of software and the software development lifecycle including configuration management tools and techniques, to be able to provide effective oversight.

The ability to elicit and understand requirements and available design solutions so that you can produce accurate and cost effective estimates of work to be undertaken.

Understanding of UML and C, C++ and/or Ada Languages.
