Software Engineer: Middleware
Location: Bristol
Hours: 37 Hours per week pro rata
Salary: Up to 60,000 (bonus, overtime & good pension)

The position Software Engineer
The middleware solutions team target a large range of problems from hardware drivers to logging-on to web services. This provides a great opportunity for someone with a desire to be involved in many differing areas.
You will need experience of:
-
low-level software engineering,
-
contributing to design and implementation decisions, and integration,
-
design, development, implementation, and test of modular and scalable code,
-
embedded software for COTS hardware and able to work with target hardware in a lab,
-
operating systems, I/O, memory management, networking, concurrency & scheduling,
-
Intel and ARM chipsets, Linux, real-time operating systems hypervisors,
-
multiple languages including embedded C and/or C++ and JavaScript or Ada,
-
standards such as DefStan 00-55 and MISRA beneficial,
-
continuous integration and familiarity with tools like Jenkins.
