Software Architect
Location: Stevenage
Salary: Up to £70,000 P/A + benefits (including bonus and pension)
Hours: 37 hours per week
1 day home working
4.5 day week.

It’s a world leading, Stevenage based, technical engineering organisation, with 10000 staff across Europe. They have an exciting opportunity for a Software Architect. They have a customer order book stretching for several years, with healthy profits and balance sheet. They are stable with steady controlled growth.
The position Software Architect
They’re at the forefront of British engineering, working with the most advanced technology in the industry and the Software Architect will be the focal point between algorithm designers, electronic engineers, systems engineers, trials engineers, radar, and sensor experts and of course software engineers.
You find the idea of making a system do something new (that it might not have been originally designed to do) exciting and can inspire the same excitement in others.
What we’re looking for

Ability to steer the design and implementation of complex real-time systems, from software engineering’s viewpoint. It’s an influential and hands-on technical role.

Experience of boundaries between software architecture, systems engineering and system design of complex systems.

Understanding of embedded systems and how to design for proving and manufacture.

You’re the “go to” person for software issues on your current projects – and colleagues seek your judgement on technical aspects of the overall product.

Knowledge of Simulink, C++, FPGAs (such as Xilinx, Altera), UML, SysML and DOORS

You can convey complex abstract ideas and you’re comfortable discussing low level detail.

Influential and connected, able to guide people to a decision when things are uncertain.
Experience within a domain where quality and dependability are key discriminators – for example, defence, aerospace, medical, automotive.
