Senior Thermal Design Engineer
Salary: £38,000 - £45,000
We are currently working with a company who specialise in the heat exchanger industry, as they look to recruit a Senior Thermal Design Engineer into their Sales Team. The individual they are looking for easily stands out in the crowd as skilled, motivated, career-focused, ambitious, with a can-do attitude. The role will be customer facing requiring a professional, friendly personality.
You will be required to perform a wide variety of difficult and highly complex heat transfer engineering, design, analysis, or other technical tasks aiming to use the best available knowledge and technology.
The role will report to board level with a requirement to lead and mentor others.
Senior Thermal Design Engineer Responsibilities:
Reviewing incoming enquires including the checking of specifications and data sheets.
Working with and visiting clients to determine the best solution for their specific needs.
Performing process design calculations using software such as HTRI / Aspentech EDR etc.
Preliminary mechanical calculations and costing.
Technical and commercial bid compilation.
Coordinate project requirements with other disciplines and clients.
Building relationships with clients.

Special Job Requirements:
Familiar with ASME Code Section VIII, Div.1, API and TEMA standard for Shell and Tube heat exchanger and Air Cooled heat exchangers.
Proficient in using HTRI / Aspentech EDR programs to design heat exchangers.
Knowledgeable in using mechanical design programs – Heat Exchanger module is desired.
