Senior Software Project Lead
Location:                   Bristol
Hours:                       37 Hours per week pro rata
Salary:                       Up to 70,000 (bonus, overtime & good pension)
We’re working with a world leading, Bristol based, technical & scientific engineering organisation, with 12000 staff across Europe. They have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Software Project Leader.

The position
It’s a hands-on role coordinating several projects and requiring a technical understanding to support design and development and future products. You’ll interact across the business at a senior level with chief engineers to manage demands and priorities to support multiple product lines. You’ll be resolving issues, e.g., competing demands, sensitive situations and conflicts.
You’ll work closely with Software Group Leaders to lead robust teams in delivery of work packages.
You will need experience of:
  • Technical leadership, project management and team building.
  • Experience of collaborative with a diverse set of partners requiring occasional conflict resolution
  • Background in software, its realisation and system wide application
  • An open approach to development and communication
  • Experience of international collaboration & cooperation
  • Awareness and application of software quality standards beneficial such as DefStan 00-55, DO-178C or IEC61508 and restricted coding standards e.g. MISRA C++, but applications from outside the defence sector are very welcome.
