Location: Stevenage

Salary: Up to £65,000

Package includes:

Bonus up to 21% of salary (based on company performance and will vary year to year)

Working within a world-leading, technical engineering organisation, we currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Project Manager. As the Senior Project Manager, you will define, plan and deliver medium to large-size contracts/programmes at various stages of delivery. This is an exciting time to be at the forefront of change, as part of our new dynamic vision for Europe.

Senior Project Manager key activities

Establish on-time delivery of milestones and deliverables.
Ensure contract budgets are planned, loaded and controlled in line with the Work Breakdown Structure
Develop and maintain key relationships with project teams and internal/external stakeholders
Implement effective project management processes, tools and reporting mechanisms
Manage and control contract estimate-at-completion, revenue and margin in line with budget
Ensure robust workload forecasts are maintained
Plan and facilitate active risk management across the project, including mitigation activities
Leading project teams
Responsibility for liaising with and managing relationships with end customers/clients

Senior Project Manager skills and qualifications required:

Project /Programme Management experience – ideally gained in a matrix organisation
Strong risk management skills and experience
Sound business judgement including an appreciation of complex problems and how to solve them
Strong communication and motivational skills
Ability to embrace new challenges and deal with a level of ambiguity
Experience leading projects from a business perspective, including EVM, schedule adherence and risk assessments.
Bidding & estimating experience
Negotiating and influencing skills, with the ability to establish and maintain relationships and work collaboratively across various levels and with internal and external collaborators
Drive and motivation in leading project teams to strive for excellence in the face of adversity
Engage, share standard methodology and find opportunities for innovation
You will need to be eligible for SC-level UK Security Clearance.
