Senior Electronics Engineer
Location: Melbourn, Hertfordshire

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Electronics Engineer to join an ambitious, innovative, well-managed technology & product development company based in Hertfordshire. As an experienced senior electronics engineer, you will create novel solutions, often involving highly optimised custom designs needed to solve unique challenges. Typical projects can include commercial avionics, air traffic control systems, electronic warfare, radar, sonar, and data protection Typical systems might involve high speed electronics, machine vision, FPGAs, low-noise analogue and data capture systems alongside fluidics and optics used in the defence and aerospace sectors.
You will have an insatiable curiosity for new ideas – whether it’s a new technology, or how a multinational really makes money. You will have the chance to develop new skills, work on problems you’ve never heard of before and take on new responsibilities. You will work closely with customers, presenting your work and delivering bespoke solutions to a range of clients including the MoD, prime system integrators and SME’s.
Senior Electronics Engineer Essential Skills and Qualifications:

You will be very bright with a strong academic background in Electronic engineering or equivalent

You will have demonstrated your electronic design and development skills with at least 3 years' experience

This is a client facing role, working in multi-disciplinary teams so you will need effective communication skills

We develop innovative solutions for clients so strong experimental and problem-solving skills are essential

We look for talented all-rounders but you will need a solid grounding in at least some of the following: Complex/high-speed digital electronic design; FPGA firmware (i.e. VHDL/Verilog); RF and/or microwave electronics (possibly including antennas); Embedded software; Algorithm development (e.g. machine learning, target tracking, or data fusion); Analogue electronics; Power electronics
