Location: Stevenage

Salary: £40,000 to £46,000 + Overtime, Bonus, Flexible working

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Project Manager, working for a world class technical engineering company, who are and growing year on year. The role will present you with the environment to realise your potential, working in an exciting, complex and changing environment, where there are opportunities to add value and make a difference in delivering capability to customers.

As the Project Manager, you will define, plan and deliver small to medium size contracts/packages of work as part of a larger programme. This is an exciting time to be at the forefront of change, as part of a new dynamic vision for Europe.

Project Manager key activities

Establish on-time delivery of milestones and deliverables.
Ensure contract budgets are planned, loaded and controlled in line with Work Breakdown Structure
Develop and maintain key relationships with project teams and internal/external stakeholders
Implement effective project management processes, tools and reporting mechanisms
Manage and control contract estimate-at-completion, revenue and margin in line with budget
Ensure robust workload forecasts are maintained
Plan and facilitate active risk management across the project, including mitigation activities
Ensure all Export Regulations are understood, adhered to and compliant

Project Manager skills and qualifications required:

Project management experience
Strong risk management skills and knowledge
Ability to manage effective stakeholder relationships
Ability to embrace new challenges and deal with a level of ambiguity
Negotiating and influencing skills, with the ability to establish and maintain relationships and work collaboratively across various levels in an organisation
Drive and motivation in leading project teams to strive for excellence in the face of adversity
Engage, share standard methodology and find opportunities for innovation
Sound business judgement and appreciation of complex problems
Strong communication and motivational skills
You will need to be eligible for SC level UK Security Clearance.
