Salary:                £45,000 to £48,000 + benefits – (Bonus, Overtime, Pension & more)
 
Working within a world leading, technical engineering organisation, we currently have a fantastic opportunity to work as a Procurement Improvement Lead. You will be an integral part of the UK Direct Procurement team and will influence the evolution of the Supply Chain performance, capabilities, and practices.
 
The role will allow you to help shape the future, bring new ideas, fresh insights, and potentially new ways of working. You will contribute to the improvement road map and have direct impact on adding value to their functional capability. The ISP directorate have a Procurement Academy to deliver enhance levels of capability and training to support career paths and personal development.
 
Procurement Improvement Lead responsibilities:
  • Lead, support and drive systematic and sustainable improvements for UK Procurement
  • Collaborate functionally and cross functionally on improvement projects
  • Drive efficiency initiatives through ongoing measurement and evaluation of their impact
  • Develop all training and development materials required for supporting the implementation of the improvements
  • Support and input towards improvement road map
  • Project manage deliverables against plan and communicate across function
  • Implementation of best practice and benchmarking initiatives relevant to improvements
  • Working in conjunction with the leadership team, ensure that relevant governance is in place as part of improvement control / progress plans
 
Procurement Improvement Lead skills and qualifications required:
  • Deep understanding of Source to Pay (S2P) methodologies
  • Project Management experience, including creating stakeholder buy-in
  • Ability to manage, deliver and track multiple parallel improvement projects
  • Experience in applying continuous improvement methodologies
  • Good influencing and negotiating skills
  • Effective communication and presentation skills and the ability to engage at all levels
  • Passion for change and improvement
  • Ideally educated to a Degree / HND or MCIPS level
  • Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing qualification/experience would be advantageous
