Salary: Up to £40,000 + benefits (plus Overtime, Flexi and Bonus)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Principal Customs Officer to join an ambitious, highly regarded, scientific engineering / manufacturing business that are in a position of sustained growth.
An opportunity has arisen in a fast-moving Logistics department for a Principal Customs Officer to liaise and working closely with our export control team, local customs officers and freight forwarders to effectively Import / Export products in the UK.
As the Principal Customs Officer, you will have the opportunity to oversee a newly constructed Customs team to meet business demands with Import / Exports for all Manufacturing (IPR and Customs Warehousing)
Training, progression and development of your career is an integral part of the company’s core thinking and courses and training will be provided throughout your time with the business..
Principal Customs Officer Skills Required

Detailed knowledge of UK Customs Activities and International Trade, import / export legislation and processes

Ability to adapt style of communication to ensure effective delivery of service

Experience of working within a regulated engineering environment
