Hours:                  37 hours per week

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Low Observability Engineer to join an ambitious, highly regarded, scientific engineering / manufacturing business that are in a position of sustained growth.

As a Low Observability Engineer, you will be overseeing work package aspects for radar cross-section (RCS) hardware readiness to support product development and qualification, whilst additionally contributing to RCS performance evidence gathering.

What you will be doing:

  • Placing requirements on to design authorities and overseeing their readiness and delivery
  • Lead mechanical design engineers to produce bespoke fit-for-purpose definitions for manufacture
  • Interaction with wider business areas of the company to jointly deliver against requirements
  • Managing the supply chain to ensure procurements are on time, on quality and on cost
  • Gathering performance baselines that contribute to wider evidence sets as inputs to reporting

Skills Required: 

  • Higher education or experience within subject fields: Physics, Electromagnetics, Electrical, Mechanical, or similar
  • Project co-ordination management experience ideally with some supply chain exposure
  • An appreciation of electrical and mechanical construction and interfacing
  • Analytical mind-set and problem-solving abilities
  • Be able to communicate well with a wide range of stakeholders; from internal customers, sub-contractors / suppliers at both engineering and management levels
  • Experience of leading and tasking others, whilst cognisant of own workload; setting own goals and meeting deadlines for delivery
  • Proven ability to work to defined deadlines and within budget limits

You will need to obtain UK Security Clearance for this role. This will require you to either be a UK Citizen or UK Dual Citizen. Some restrictions may apply.
