Group Procurement Category Manager
Location:               Stevenage
Salary:                   Up to £60,000 + Bonus, Pension & Flexible working
Working within a world leading, innovative technical engineering organisation, we are currently recruiting for a Group Procurement Category Manager who will bring experience and knowledge to ensure effective category management in the RF electronic domain.
As the Group Procurement Category Manager, you will manage an international, multifunctional team in the sourcing and management of suppliers for a category within the RF electronic domain, undertaking strategy development, sourcing competitions, contract management, Supplier relation management with the purpose of supporting innovation and to ensure supply chain performance (on Time, on Cost, on Quality).
The position will involve working and travelling internationally with fellow procurement professionals, with internal stakeholders (internal customers, procurement colleagues, technical expert, legal) and with key suppliers
Group Procurement Category Manager Responsibilities
  • Working as a business partner with your internal stakeholders to improve business outcomes
  • Managing Suppliers market risks and opportunities to support the company technology roadmap and production plan,
  • Creating and implementing supplier relationships to deliver innovative and best in class suppliers to the business
  • Intelligently developing and deploying a range of sourcing strategies in cooperation with internal stakeholders.
Group Procurement Category Manager skills and qualifications required:
  • Ideally a degree calibre procurement professional with experience of working in an international environment in RF high technologies companies.
  • Good understanding of RF technologies and of the Suppliers market
  • You will have demonstrated your ability to develop and implement category strategy in a culturally sensitivity environment supported by excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
A proven ability to:
  • Influence multi-functionally, multi-nationally and at all levels within the organisation
  • Implement changes when working with internal stakeholders
  • Develop and implement strategies through a multi-function team
