Salary:                   Up to £48,000 p/a + benefits (Overtime, Bonus, Pension & more)

Hours:                   37 hours per week         

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Capability Engineer to join a world class technical engineering company based in Bristol. The Capability Engineer will have exposure to a wide range of industry partners and will experience multiple projects through a range of life-cycle phases. This role will be very important to developing capabilities to help protect national interests and global security. This could be just what you are looking for?

Typical activities include:

  • Capturing key aspects of Capability Need based on Customer input.
  • Collation of material from multiple partners to generate solid proposals for Concept options in response to the Capability Need.
  • Assessment of opportunities against the Military and Portfolio benefit scoring
  • Input to the product portfolio strategic plan.
  • Transversal activities across all domains to ensure cohesion of information across the entire portfolio.
  • Development of the process and infrastructure to help manage the information banks being captured.
  • Interface between the Portfolio and delegated partners and stakeholders.
  • Reactive activities to the emerging customer queries and needs.

Skills and qualifications required from the following:

  • Degree qualified in a technical subject such as electronics, physics, mathematics, or similar
  • The ability to forge the essential relationships and influence partners.
  • The ability to work in an ambiguous space to form a coherent, collated viewpoint
  • Knowledge and experience of military technologies / sub-systems would be highly beneficial.

You should be able and willing to gain (UK Eyes only) security clearance, potentially to DV level in the future.
