Embedded Software Engineer
Hours: 37 Hours per week pro rata
Salary: Up to 60,000 (bonus, overtime & good pension)
We’re working with a world leading, Bristol based, technical & scientific engineering organisation, with 10000 staff across Europe. They have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Software Project Leader.

Their growing workload has created another Embedded Software Engineering opportunity. The team of 30 engineers working in embedded is tasked with supplying a full range of hard real time software solutions.
It’s hands-on development and integration position. You will develop software targeting C, C++ and/or Ada languages. This software will be integrated with other software from several sources, an OS, firmware and hardware.
Experience of development of embedded software
Experience in model-based development - either using UML tools e.g., IBM’s Rhapsody; or Matlab/Simulink.
Experience with embedded C, C++ and/or Ada and RTOS.
Awareness of deploying software on real-time Operating Systems and ARM-based processing platforms with an appreciation of firmware and electronics design.
Knowledge of modern software development practices. Knowledge of standards such as DefStan 00-55 & DO178B/C and restricted coding such as MISRA / SPARK advantageous.
