Hours:                      37 Hours per week pro rata
Salary:                      Up to 60,000 (bonus, overtime & good pension)

The position
 
A growing workload has created an opportunity for an Embedded Software Engineer Validation & Verification.
 
The position will allow you to develop technical and leadership skills across products and developing embedded real-time software.
 
It’s a hands-on role requiring the continued development and integration of subsystem software products and evolutions for future products. You will be testing statically and dynamically, embedded, real-time systems application software.
 
  • Develop test approaches, scenarios and test instructions using in-house and bought-in tools targeting Ada and or C/C++.
  • Constantly appraise the software testing approach considering new approaches, automation, processes and tools.
 
Required
 
  • Experience in development and verification of embedded software.
  • Experience of test tools and techniques in both host and target environments.
  • Experience of testing embedded Ada and or C/C++ and real time operating systems.
  • Awareness of deploying software on real-time operating systems and ARM-based processing platforms and an appreciation of firmware and electronics design.
  • Knowledge of standards such as DefStan 00-55 & DO178B/C, advantageous.
