Location:               Bristol or Stevenage

Salary:                   Up to £48,000 p/a + benefits (overtime, bonus, Pension & more)

Hours:                   37 hours per week         

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Electronics Engineer, with knowledge of (GNSS) Global Navigation Satellite System technology to join a world class technical engineering company based in Bristol or Stevenage. This role will be critical to developing capabilities to help protect national interests and global security. This could be just what you are looking for?

The GNSS Electronics Engineer will carry out specification and assessment of navigation sensors including GNSS receivers, antennas, and AEU's. You will monitor supplier and technology roadmaps to identify cutting-edge future technology for investment, support sub assembly and equipment assessment trials, and undertake research activities as part of an international team.

The GNSS Electronics Engineer will need to have a detailed understanding of all aspects of GNSS functionality, multi-constellation technology and system integration.

Skills and qualifications required from the following:

  • Ideally degree qualified in a technical engineering discipline such as Electronics, Systems Engineering, Physics, Communications, or Aerospace Engineering
  • A technical background and experience in electronic engineering disciplines or physics
  • Detailed knowledge of receivers, AEU (antenna electronics units) and CRPA's
  • GNSS system chain performance & integration challenges
  • Knowledge of RF would be advantageous
  • GNSS jamming and spoofing experience
  • Modelling skills including proficiency with tools such as MATLAB and/or Simulink

You should be able and willing to gain (UK Eyes only) security clearance, potentially to DV level in the future.
