It’s a fantastically challenging, varied, and agile role. You’ll see ideas become a reality through the development of prototypes using a rapid approach to design and implementation.
Your problem-solving skills will be enhanced as you tackle complex electronics engineering challenges that test your excellent understanding of engineering fundamentals and physical principles beyond pure electronics.
Projects cover areas such as high-speed digital electronic design, RF and/or microwave electronics, antennas, power electronics, analogue electronics, and PCB technologies. You may have expertise in one or more of these areas or be interested in developing further capability. There will also be scope to develop FPGA firmware (VHDL/Verilog), embedded software and algorithms if that takes your interest.
Every day, you’ll be operating at the boundary of technological exploration by inventing new solutions and enhancing existing hardware. Typically, this will involve analysis, computational modelling, prototype design, invention, laboratory testing, process development, and manufacturing.
Electronics Engineer Essential Skills and Qualifications:

A strong degree in Electronic Engineering, or a related discipline. Post Degree qualifications are desirable

Opportunities are available for experienced applicants and electronic engineering graduates looking to focus on firmware / digital development.

Experience across a range of areas including at least one of the following: high-speed digital electronic design, RF and/or microwave electronics, antennas, power electronics, analogue electronics, and PCB technologies.
