We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Electromagnetic Warfare Systems Engineer to join an ambitious, highly regarded, scientific engineering / manufacturing business that are in a position of sustained growth.
As an Electromagnetic Warfare Systems Engineer who will be responsible for ensuring that various aspects of a Weapon System’s Electromagnetic capability (covering system design, integration, and the operational context / applicability) is fit for purpose, whilst also ensuring that the associated design is developed within the required timescales and budget. You will be both the EW requirements authority and the EW System design lead for elements of a Weapon System, requiring collaboration with suppliers, customers, and a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
The Electromagnetic Warfare team supports activities on relevant weapon system and missile programmes, with specific responsibilities for the weapon system design and verification, system and equipment integration, RF system design, threat analysis, and modelling & simulation activities associated with Electromagnetic Warfare capability and performance.

Skills Required:
- Ideally, experience of Weapon System systems design and validation. However, experience of a complex system’s product development is essential
- Experience working across the full engineering development lifecycle
- Experience of conducting systems integration
- An understanding of Electromagnetic Countermeasures and Electromagnetic Support / Surveillance systems
- A strong record of delivery
- Experience in capability assessments and road-mapping
- A track record of building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Experience in requirements management toolsets (e.g. DOORS)
- A strong understanding of systems engineering methods, toolsets, and processes
