Hours:                  37 hours per week

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Electro Optical Systems Engineer tto join an ambitious, highly regarded, scientific engineering / manufacturing business that are in a position of sustained growth.

As an Electro Optical Systems Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on complex programmes, providing specialist Electro-Optical design support where the nature of your work will be broad and varied. This role offers a unique chance to contribute to the specification, assessment, delivery, and support of our products. Skills Required:

  • Proven experience in systems engineering across the full lifecycle
  • Requirements analysis, specifications, and justification
  • System architecture design and modelling
  • System trade studies to inform design decisions
  • Technology maturation assessments and FMEA
  • Development of interface definitions
  • Systems proving, design assurance and certification

Desirable Skills (but not essential):

  • Knowledge of the physics and technologies involved in Electro-Optical systems
  • Practical application of systems engineering processes to develop complex products, defence/aerospace industry or high integrity systems experience ideal
  • Experience of model based engineering techniques, including SysML
  • Use of systems engineering tools (e.g. IBM DOORS Next, Rhapsody, etc)
  • Experience of managing engineering work packages to deliver value outcomes, including co-ordination of other engineering teams and subject matter experts
  • Managing collaborators, including customers or suppliers
  • Experience of working in AGILE teams and applying AGILE frameworks beneficial

You will need to obtain UK Security Clearance for this role. This will require you to either be a UK Citizen or a UK Dual Citizen. Some restrictions may apply.
